With our first presentation behind us, we dove straight into the ideation phase. This was the time to get creative and start bringing our project to life.
We began by splitting up the roles according to our strengths. The illustrators took charge of developing the characters, the music students worked on crafting the song, and the web designers focused on creating the interactive learning module. By playing to our individual skills, we were able to work more efficiently and effectively.
After a good team brainstorm session, we narrowed down the narrative for the learning modules and the song. We decided to focus on four key areas: Signs & Warnings, Emergency Kit, Prepare Your Home, and Evacuation. Each section would feature a unique character and a corresponding learning module to make the content engaging and relatable for our primary-aged audience.
The song was another crucial element, designed to tie together all the information from the learning modules in a fun and memorable way. It was exciting to see how our different talents could come together to create something impactful.
This phase was also a time to reassess our task allocations to ensure everything was on track for finalising the project. We had to stay flexible and adapt to any changes or challenges that came our way, but our teamwork and commitment made it all manageable.
